Practice Makes Perfect !

It's Tuesday at the DII Spring Sports Festival and the Armstrong men's and women's tennis teams headed to the Top Gun Tennis Academy for a one-hour workout on the courts. This is the facility that the Pirates will play at on Wednesday, as well as Friday and Saturday should Armstrong advance that far.

Meanwhile, Jenna Birch and head golf coach Michael Butler headed to Persimmon Ridge Golf Club for a practice round today. Reports are that the rough at Persimmon Ridge is Open-heighth (4 in. deep cut) so obviously the goal is to keep it in the fairway.

Tonight at the tennis coaches' meeting, the ITA will announce the national award winners for 2012 DII tennis. Several Pirates are up for national awards so we will be back with you tonight to let you know how Armstrong fares !
